Alley Pond Environmental Center offers undergraduate and graduate college students, in the New York City area, the opportunity to learn about the natural environment during our in house workshops (off site programs also available). During our interactive classes, college students will participate in field work led by a seasoned APEC educator. Programs can also include guided nature walks to any or all of our four ecosystems, live animal demonstrations and group activities.
College faculty can arrange a workshop with the Head of Education for their undergraduate or graduate students to enhance their current curriculum.
Workshop topics include:1. Tree identification
2. Pond ecology
3. Native Americans
Fees vary depending on length of program. Please contact the Head of Education to discuss workshop topic and fees or call her at 718-229-4000 ext. 206.
